Hello new PBRA members and friends,

What a great way to start the year off... 129 entries in the  open at round up!  Your new directors and I are so excited to start our new year off.  Our goal is to make PBRA better than it has ever been.  We have a great board this year and everyone is willing to do whatever it takes to make this organization a success.  I would like to thank all of the new members who helped set barrels, open gates and whatever it took to keep our race running smoothly. 

There have been a few changes from last year to our races that you need to be aware of.  These changes include:  1)We are letting the youth roll over their times from the open, the cost is still the same as if you run twice but you only have to run your horse one time.  2)We are cutting off exhibitions at 1:45 so we can start our races on time, so if you need to do some exhibitions please come a little earlier.  3)We are no longer letting people pay after they run, all entries must be paid when entered.  If you want to leave an open check until later that is fine.  4)On your work credits members must work 2 FULL barrel races to receive their prizes at the finals.  The finals will not count toward credits, so make sure you get yours all in.  Working a  full race is coming early, setting up and staying after the youth poles.  You can break them down and work part of races for part of credits:  setting up (staking barrels and poles) and working in office until open starts is 1/4 credit.  Setting barrels in ALL of open race is 1/4 credit.  Setting barrels in youth barrels, open poles and youth poles is 1/4 credit.  Make sure you go to the office and write down exactly what you worked so you will receive credit.  Tammy Didway will be in charge of keeping up with your work credits.

I would like to thank Gayla Chester our new secretary for all of her hard work.  She is doing a great job so make sure and pat her on the back when you see her.  I would also like to thank all of the directors for all of the hours they put in at round up, you all did a great job!
